To be honest, we didn’t know what Nutritional Yeast (Nooch) was before our vegan(ish) friends recommended we sprinkle it on popcorn. Once we did, we were hooked.
Nooch…what a crazy, unique, smooth, golden, creamy, cheesy, delicious ingredient! A tasty, plant-based, dairy-free, cheese substitute that’s high in protein and fibre, plus B vitamins and minerals. After falling in love with the taste, we found out how nutritious it is and became even more excited.
We began researching all the Nutritional Yeast dedicated popcorn products and found…drumroll please…none! Not one!
So, as foodie entrepreneur parents, we are always trying to teach our girls to keep a sharp eye out for great products, and think outside the box, or in this case, the popcorn bag. After our “Nooch Aha Moment”, we decided to partner with our 3 daughters (aka The Nooch Girls) to sell organic fresh-popped popcorn seasoned with Nooch in 5 fun and delicious flavours…NoochPOP was born.
